This month we feature Mark Schmidt, IRD’s Manufacturing Engineer. Many of you have spoken or worked with Mark. He’s been with, and appreciated at, IRD for over nine years.
With a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota. Mark designs and coordinates our processes. He’s our go-to guy when there’s a question of manufacturability. He also makes sure that IRD and customers are on the same page, so parts are manufactured as needed and to customer specs. If you have a question on capabilities, tolerances or materials, chances are Mark can help.
Mark and his wife Jane, have a son and three daughters. Their kids are involved in everything from band, student council and athletics (swimming, basketball and track) to being very active in their church. And Mark and Jane are involved right along with them. It’s fun to hear news of their kid’s accomplishments.
When Mark isn’t involved in family and school activities or raising chickens, you can find him tinkering in his wood shop. He creates great toys out of wood that are enjoyed by kids of all ages!
We encourage you to contact Mark with any questions on your parts. He loves getting involved in new designs and projects to come up with win-win solutions for IRD and our customers. You can reach him at 320-693-7217 or firstname.lastname@example.org
