Behind the Glass Door

Melonie Crowe, Cell Lead in the New Product Cell

September 15, 2016

Melonie is the Cell Lead in the New Product Cell, where she oversees the process development of all new part numbers.

IRD Glass is proud to introduce Melonie Crowe. Melonie has been with IRD for 19 years! She is a true veteran, and is valuable beyond words. Mel currently is the Cell Lead in the New Product Cell, where she oversees the process development of all new part numbers. This is an area in which Melonie thrives, as she loves brainstorming and thinking outside the box! Melonie was previously the Cell Lead of the Business Development Cell, and started her career at IRD in optical inspection.

Melonie lives on a small farm with her husband Dan, and son Dillon. Dan drives an interstate truck, hauling livestock, while Mel and Dillon tend to their cows, sheep, donkeys and horses.

Melonie loves to race. She is a past season dirt track racecar champ, and continues her passion now barrel racing with her horse Smarty. Needless to say, Mel is rarely late to work.

Melonie hails from Texas, and we all still enjoy her Texas twang. She and the family make an annual pilgrimage back to the Lone Star State in August. (I think maybe she suffered a head injury racing.)

Please feel free to reach out to Mel with any new projects you are working on: melonie@irdglass.com
